During a home visit I work alongside you on your practical decluttering project.

Before making a start, we agree a plan of action which can be tweaked as we go along. I will ask you lots of questions in order to get an understanding of your relationship with your clutter.  At no point will I tell you what to do. I will however make suggestions. If I suggest something you don't feel good about, then I come up with an alternative. My role is to find what works for you.

My talk ‘Life changing decluttering’ is designed to be both thought provoking and inspiring.  The talk was developed for the Women’s Institute in Northamptonshire and I have been on their approved speaker list for a few years now.

 

The talk is not about how to declutter. In reality most people know they have to remove unwanted items from their home! It’s not always easy though.

 

I give tips on how to understand your own resistance to decluttering certain items for instance. For example, when your head is saying that something is clutter, but you still just can’t let go. What could be going on there? The more insight you have around your own behaviour the easier it will be to declutter with ease.

 

Whilst the subject matter is intended to be useful I also ensure there are plenty of laughs along the way!  I use client stories to demonstrate some points and also explain a bit about what brought me to this work.

 

The talk lasts about an hour which includes time for questions.
